Erasmusplus Experience in Dublin
On the 12th of October, a wonderful journey to Dublin, Ireland, began for the six boys and six girls in our group. Meeting up at Klagenfurt train station, accompanied by Mrs Weitensfelder and Mrs Weissenböck, we set off to visit our partner school, Fingal Community College. After a full day of travelling, we arrived at our hotel in Dublin at 6 p.m.
The next day we got up early, enjoyed our first wonderful breakfast and hopped on the bus to Swords. We got to know the school and its people. After school we set out for a cliff hike and the all-you-can-eat meal afterwards was enjoyed by all of us.
As always, we didn’t sleep a lot, but on Wednesday we could catch up on sleep on our way to Galway. Exploring the city, we had loads of fun and experienced a different culture.
On the next day we continued the programme by going to school again and visiting the European Parliament’s visitor centre in Dublin. A day full of political arguments and new experiences came to an end.
On Friday we spent our last day at Fingal Community College and our final activity with our new friends from Dublin was a scavenger hunt through the city. We spent the remaining time having a game night.
Throughout our journey we made new friends and gained important experiences. Including pillow fights and sleep deprivation, this was a fantastic way to spend our time and we want to thank the Erasmus+ programme as well as our teachers, Fingal Community College and everyone who made this trip possible.
Thank you very much and we are looking forward to the next exchange.
Björn and Noah, 5AB
